Valentine Love

I woke up this morning to a hot cup of coffee, a card, a beautiful little glass cube that's inscribed, a love note written in my red lipstick on the bathroom mirror, and a note on the kitchen chalkboard.  The funny thing about all of these things is that...I get stuff like this ALL the time.  Why do people wait until it's a holiday to express how they feel for one another?  I am very fortunate to have someone who reminds me everyday how much I mean to them.  It's not about the money or the presents.  It's about the love.  Caring enough to show someone that you still feel the same way and that they still matter to you as much as they ever did.  She even took the time to sit with the boys and help them make Valentines for me.
We said we'd do our "real" Valentine's after dinner, which I have prepared Ang's favorite meal...Lasagna. Of coarse I cook for Ang every night but being Valentine's Day I put forth a little extra effort to make it special.   After the kids go to bed we'll sit together and sip on some wine, Ang is a BIG romantic so I'm sure she has a hot oil massage or something along those lines planned.  The point is, that you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money to make Valentine's special.  Sure it's nice to go out, but sometimes it's nice to stay home.
My love note on the mirror

a nice dinner for two, and a little something for Ang.

my love note on the chalkboard

For You, You're the Love of My Life inscribed inside with a heart

After Ang came home, we had our lovely dinner...

and the kids had theirs...
they don't like lasagna...

We exchanged our gifts.  I got roses...

chocolates, and a necklace that says When I found you I found forever...

and flowers from the kids along with cards and fake money that they made for me, lol

I got Ang a bracelet...

All in all it was the BEST VALENTINE'S DAY EVER!
